Healthy Pulse Rate

Why the high pulse rate?
i’m a dancer of nearly 9 years (dancing about 3-4 times a week for about 2 hours a day), i eat relatively healthy, drink plenty of water, limit my caffeine and sodium intake, and take no meds that would make my heart race. i have a strong immue system and rarely get ill. i do use an alarm clock and wake up early, but i’m in bed usually by 9 or 9:30 pm.
however, my average pulse rate is in the high nineties… we’re talking resting pulse. i’ve never taken my pulse after waking up naturally, so i’m not sure if it’s always this high or what, but when i’ve been sitting around doing pretty much nothing, it’s still high.
any ideas why this is?

ps – don’t tell me to see a doctor… i know this. i’m going to have an exam really soon.
your heart might be smaller than average (mines the opposite its bigger so my pulse is low).
Are you taking the pulse wrong (you might have a heart murmur and cause extra beat, normally not dangerous).
If your only counting ten seconds then multiplying by 6 the number is higher than say 30 sec count.
